HealthSmart on Healthcare Reform
Healthcare Reform. The tremendous amount of information on it can seem overwhelming. To assist you in getting a better understanding of how it will affect our clients, we have developed some healthcare reform fact sheets. The communications below drill down to some of the most important aspects of the Affordable Care Act, especially as it applies to self-funded plans. We will continue to develop these on an ongoing basis as needed and welcome your suggestions and comments on this project.
1. Action Items for 2013-2014 Provides an overview of the Affordable Care Act, information on Grandfathered Plans, open enrollment checklists for 2013 and 2014, and more. 2. Self-Funding and Healthcare Reform Communicates why self-funding is a great option for employers in the era of healthcare reform. It will be included in our packet of sales sheets. 3. SBC Fact Sheet Summarizes the most important changes and requirements in producing compliant SBCs. It has the same format that we'll be using as we create additional fliers. 4. PCORI Fees Highlights the key points of the Comparative Effectiveness Research Plan Fee.
In the coming months, our marketing and legal teams will be working closely together to develop the materials you need to stay ahead of the upcoming changes and to keep our customers' health plans compliant, cost-effective and member-centric.
